Yafei Dong, Ph.D. (董亚飞)
About me
I am a postdoctoral associate at Yale PET Center, Yale School of Medicine, advised by Prof. Georges El Fakhri
(also thanks to guidance from Thibault Marin, Ph.D., Chao Ma, Ph.D.,
and Kuang Gong, Ph.D.). Our team moved from Gordon Center for Medical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital,
and Harvard Medical School in February 2024. Now, I am doing research on medical image processing by deep learning techniques, especially for positron emission tomography (PET) image processing. My research projects include
medical image synthesis and segmentation. Previously, I received my Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University, advised by Prof. Yanpeng Cao.
During my Ph.D. time, my research focused on signal and image processing in infrared non-destructive testing. My work includes pre-processing (image quality enhancement), sub-surface defect detection, sub-surface defect depth estimation,
and spatial visualization of defect.
